Thompson plays like a player who didn't really want to come here, no idea what the personal reasons were as to why he came. If we sign a creative midfiled player we will need another player who can influence the game, that is not Thompson, so we need creative central player and good ball winner, so we need two player in the middle of the park. How do we do that, spend some money, if there is none, then problem will not be solved.

Thompson is a good player. Our midfield and forwards have poor depth. We couldn't cope with just two players missing. We certainly won't finish in the top two.Play offs might do.

It doesnt take a lot to realise Thomson is a good player at this level, unfortunately some people seem unable to grasp such a simple footballing concept. His passes are spot on, he breaks forward when called upon, wins a heck a lot of tackles and contests very well in the air for a man of his height.

Central midfield is a very important position and he fills it in a below average manner, medicore players and preformance equal mediocre season.

I have been watching the Albion for 28 years and he is not a good player at this lever, he is mediocre at best.

We have to beat top teams in this division to get promoted and he will be sadly lacking, as last season when it comes to the crunch games.

FFS. We've had 2 games this season. We have 4 points. How can you be sure 'what we need' at this moment?!

By the performances, MA is a good manager but no manger can hide the problems that persist from previous seasons. Last year we masked the problem with two loan players, Racon and Westlake, this season, the problems persist.

It doesn't though, does it. We have signed Virgo and McLeod who are playing the positions that Racon and Westlake played in last year.

If we had dominated midfield we would have won against BR, we would have had more of the ball, our wide players would have had more possession and we would have tired the opposition out trying to get possession.

Maybe, but if we had a better striker than Hart we may have been able to pull there back line out of position a bit more and found more space. Equally if Cox hadn't been playing like a Sunday League player we ma have had a chace.

Abort, retry, fail
Our wide players were useless and Hart was not very effective up front in that he wasn't holding onto the ball. Blaming Thomson for the poor show from others is a bit harsh. We had plenty of possession in the first half, but seemed intent on giving the ball away cheaply.

You need more than just the CM to play well against a side thats putting 7 or 8 men behind the ball though. I don't think the CM was that bad, certainly not as bad as some of the other positions on the pitch.
