What's the strangest place you've fallen asleep?

I once fell asleep on a late night train from Barnsley to Manchester and woke up in the sidings just outside Piccadilly station.

And, so the story goes, I had a spectacular sleep on the way back from the Boxing Day match at QPR. I can't rememember the details, and neither can Seagull Over Sevenoaks.

Sitting on the pan in a club in Redhill many years ago. At the end of the night my mates thought I'd already left and were about to leave until one of them made one last sweep of the toilets and found me. I still had my drink in my hand as well. :drink:

I've dozed off in meetings before after a heavy night but haven't we all? :D

Dodgiest must have been the 405 freeway at 1am, at the wheel. I awoke about 1 second before I would've gone into the wall at 70 mph.

Oddest was a luggage locker on Heidelberg Station. I was snoring, and some little German porter woke me up by kicking the soles of my feet - I gave the little shit a good bollocking though, all in English which he obviously didn't understand, except perhaps the occasional snippets i.e. "blah blah blah nazi blah blah the war blah blah Neurenburg blah blah blah England gewinners blah blah".

Most interesting was Koln cathedral, and I woke surrounded by giggling schoolgirls. I must've been snoring again. Well I was feckin knackered, and snoring resounds rather well along marbled pillars I imagine. I probably should have mentioned the war again, but I couldn't be bothered to laud it over a bunch of nubiles . Maybe I had a 'morning erection' that they approved of.
I shoulda whipped it out, those Germans are well kinky with religion and sex.

Laid out on a school table

Inside a railway workers hut in Kent we broke into cos it was cold and we had to wait for 5 hours for a train.

Curled up on my parents porch like a cat.

I was a regular at the back of the lecture hall at uni falling asleep. Darkened room, quiet, morning after the night before, of course you'd have a bit of shut-eye.

Stumbling home, one very wet night, I tripped over a small wall, into a muddy housing development. Just as I got my balance back, I went head first into a foundation trench. I was together enough to know what was going on, but too drunk to do anything about it.
When I finally, came to & decided to get out, (an hour or so later), it must have looked like Woody Allen on the giant banana skin in Sleepers.

Frequently with my keys in the door, feet in the porch & head @ the foot of the stairs.

On the leather armchair in the Honeyclub by the door to Room 2 when I was sixteen. When I woke up, someone I was with had drawn all over my face with lipstick.

I'm regulary falling asleep on the nightbus as well, once no one woke me up until I felt the driver prodding me - we were in Newhaven  Luckily he had to drive back to the depot anyway so I got dropped off at my usual stop.

Not so much where I fell asleep but I must have looked odd....we'd been out for a few drinks and I just toppled onto the couch when we got home with my bum in the air on all fours and face planted into the cushion - looked like a giant inch worm I think... got woken by the sound of my other half laughing at my bum in the air from the kitchen.... embarrasment plus as we hadn't been going out that long....

I have a few...

Only last week, my wife found me asleep on the floor of the WC downstairs. I'd been out and had more than a few, obviously relieved myself, and then gave up walking shortly after.

A couple of years ago I had a really intensive spell of work - lots of 20+ hour days, and a couple of through the night efforts. It all came to an end, thankfully, and I went down the pub for, literally, a couple of pints. I was shattered and was heading for bed as soon as I got in. My wife (spot the trend here?) found me asleep on the floor of the en-suite, trousers round ankles. Seems I fell asleep 'on the job' and did not even wake when I hit the floor.

A few years back, I slept with homeless people in a multi-storey car park in Cambridge. The strange thing is that despite being very drunk, I did it wilfully. They had shared some dope and wine with me - it seemed rude to turn down their offer of a bed. It was somewhat bizarre, to say the least, to be woken up by cars driving past your feet about 9 inches away, as Saturday morning shoppers arrived.

Not me: a colleague was out in our Melbourne office recently and was on a big session. He fell asleep whilst standing at a urinal. He had cuts on his forehead, where he struck the aforementioned urinal, for several weeks.

(Having too many beers and oiking-up in the shelter's litter bin)

No weird places really, other than various floors. In fact after the nsc meet up I awoke on my kitchen floor at around 1am. I clearly didn't think the 5 second journey to bed within my capabilities!

I've been known to wake up curled round that massive oak tree in the middle of Queens Park on more than one occasion.
