Reading the diatribe about The Day After Tomorrow, it set me thinking about really awful disaster films. What's the worst you have ever seen?

I nominate Outbreak. Despite having Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman as the leading actor, it was the biggest pile of toss I have ever seen

Deep Impact and Outbreak are both big piles of shit but neither come close to a film I saw on BBC One a few weeks back called 'Inerno' which was about the world heating up to incredible heats for 36 hours and then returning to normal. The only thing that kept me watching was the fact that it was comically arse.

I can hotly recommend (in a "so crap it's enjoyable" way) The Cassandra Crossing, a mid-70s piece of schlock with Richard Harris and Sophia Loren stuck on a train that has been infected by Charlie Sheen, while Burt Lancaster plots to send them over a decripit bridge.

Utter crap but great fun.

Eh? That film is the biggest pile of wank I've ever seen and isn't enjoyable in the slightest. :nono:

Pah, you have no taste. Who could fail to marvel at the special effects, like the slowed-down Hornby model train careering off the bridge at the end.

I have to side with MOH here, Cassandra Crossing is a cult classic.

Giant, dont get me wrong but Im struggling to understand where the disaster occurs in Con Air?

I think the disaster was that it was ever made and that I wasted an evening watching it.
