Was in the Newbury shop this week looking for a new bat for Jr Zimba turns out they sell one for a grand ,thats a lot of dough for one bat ,most ive spent is £100 for some preditors about ten years ago . The guy in the shop that they sell quite a lot of the bats and one guy bought two only last week, just wondered how much you guys have spent on a single sports item.

Are you sure? Over the last few years top range grade 1 willow like the Mjolnir have been about the £250-350 mark

About £400 on an Aero bike (seriously second-hand) for triathlon which is a great sport for spending money.

I am currently steeling myself for replacing the bike with a new one that actually fits me for next year. That's going to be a lot more than £400.

My snowboard I guess. I have a Burton Custom.

Burton Barron for me - Bought with wheeled cover, Burton bindings, boots etc, must have been £5-600 at the time.

A thing of beauty, but now mainly gathering dust.. :(

Probably a pair of football boots, it was the red boots David Beckham wore when he was at United.

The skateboard I had when I was about 15/16 cost about £150-£200

£300 for a set of ben hogan golf bats.

But it's all relative....I spent, well my mum and dad spent £100 on a cricket bat when I played county schoolboy cricket and that was back in the 70's, so I would hae thought the equivalent these days must be £600 to £700.

Around £600 on my snowboard. At least I think it was around that. A Lib Tech Attack Banana. By far the best snowboard I've ever ridden. All my gear came to about £2,000 in total when I bought it all a couple of years ago.

My Board.
