What's the difference between SIr Geoff Hurst & john terry

about 1000 people that's what,lived in eastbourne a few years ago and Sir Geoff Hurst was visiting the arndale,so with my young lad, donned in a replica 1966 shirt went down to see the great man,as i approached the shop where he was due to be,i naturally assumed it must of been cancelled due to the fact nobody was there,but no,Sir Geoff Hurst was sitting there all on his jack,eating a big mac,after all the hype,i had to convince my lad,this was a geniune legend of english football,2 weeks later and john terry was in the same shop and they were queueing round the block

now i bet you were thinking the same as me,one of these gentlemen is a true legend who scored a hat-trick in the world cup final and went home and cut the grass,the other is an overrated,overpaid tosser

when I was 11 years old I had the amazing opportunity to not only meet but play a match with Bobby Moore (sorry for the name dropping) I will NEVER forget that day 27 years ago now!

Hurst and Moore and the rest were real gentlemen and professionals - Maybe it is rose tinted glasses but I honestly believe that they understood the responsibilty they had towards their team mates and the country..............

Young kids today are unlikely to get that excited by a footballer from way before their time and aren't going to be interested in John Terry's off field antics. I presume most of the people queuing to meet JT were kids anyway.

And to be honest, I'd probably rather meet Craig Noone than Geoff Hurst myself.

He's also got perspective to realise that being a great footballer doesn't automatically make you a great person in other aspects of life.
