Not the usual type of track I'd post in here, but I'm so, so glad that Sam Fender is staring to getting the recognition he deserves. Outsold the rest of the top 10 albums combined this week. As somebody who has a turbulent relationship with my dad, this track in partciular hit me hard. Absolute magic.
I flicked the TV on last night and there was a morown cover ToTP type show on . . .featuring Mr Weller and Ms Whinehouse, which was all fine and dandy, but it reminded me of this, which is vastly superior to anything else that was on the show
Bit of a half-cheat but just randomly heard Sale Of The Century on Radio Surrey. Sounded so good that I did a replay on Youtube. Whereupon I fell into a link for the very finest song of Louise and her Sleeperblokes
'A face in the crowd', for super Steve Earle, and all of you Tom Petty fans. This version is by Kathleen Edwards, who is probably the one living artist that I'd like to see live in concert more than any other.
