He's so good, but I find him painful to listen to. Not quite sure why.
I agree, it's all very raw and I have to be in the right mood.

But when I am there is nothing like it.

Oh, quite. I think he's amazing. Gifted musician too. Amazing insight and exposure of his . . . .soul.

Makes me realize how much Peter Hammill (a fave of mine) hid his inner self behind constructs..... Ren is literal.

I’ve listened to this on repeat all day. I never new Indian Folk Metal was a genre and I think I might be hooked


Bloodywood are great fun - saw them live last year. Really vibe with the nu metal elements in their sound as well.

After releasing what is probably my favourite EP of 2024 earlier this year, unpeople dropped another absolute belter of a new single recently. A hard band to pin down to just one genre as a description, but they're one of the best new UK bands in the alternative rock/metal world.
