I love this band, song and live version so much. Musical nectar.
The three surviving members of Bad Company in 2011, Paul Rodgers was 61 and still sounds as good as he did back in the 70's, one of the all time great rock voices.

Saw Purple on their world tour in '72, from which this epic live album was recorded. The picture on the album cover is the exact view I had at The Dome, about 20ft from Ritchie Blackmore and his massive Marshall stack. They opened the concert with this track, my ears were ringing for 24hrs after and it probably contributed to the Tinnitus I've suffered for the last 25 years.
Thankyou Purple, it was worth it!
Harry will love it for the deep meaningful lyrics written by Ian Gillan!
Unusually for Gillan, there were no blind men, standing still, on a hill, on this track
