One of the greatest 12 inch singles to come out of the 80's, it was produced by Trevor Horn, and it was him playing 5 string bass on the record, still sounds great today.

Yesterday's .... can not believe it is over 30 years ago!!!!

My wife sat next to her on a flight to Toulouse a couple of years ago. When I picked her up at the airport she said “I sat next to and chatted most of the flight to an interesting woman who said she was appearing in Toulouse tonight with a band called Texas, have you heard of them?”

I had to laugh, she didn’t have a scooby who she or the band were until I played her this song, when I just got “Oh I like that song”

A song of unrequited love for me, as I was too thick to understand the intentions of the girl who invited me back for coffee, and put the song on, just as in the song, I politely said goodnight!

Wonder how my life might have panned out if I wasn't so stupid...!

Also, got to be the best sax solo in a pop record, beating Baker Street hands down!

Recently dived into The Night Flight Orchestra's back catalogue after hearing one of their songs on a Twitch stream. A side project of numerous musicians in popular Swedish metal bands playing classic 70s/80s inspired rock, but with a whole load of camp & cheesy pop, disco and synth elements. Can't think of any band formed in the last 10 years playing music like this to the level of quality that they do

I'd be remiss not to gush about the best live band on the planet. New album out on April 30th, have pre-ordered the colour vinyl and cannot wait to hear more from the record.

Yeah, it's funny that one with the coffee because if you are visiting as a couple then coffee tends to mean drink this then piss off!
