All the ones I've tried have been inedible shite

Frozen food is all a bit rubbish right? And freezing fresh stuff just ruins it. I kind of get the impression that the freezer is a bit of a relic from the past, before buying fresh food was so convenient.

I can’t help reading this as pure snobbery and just another put down of the way a lot of people choose to live their lives.

I have to ask, what type of emergency requires frozen urine samples ? Jellyfish rash ?

We have an American fridge/freezer jobbie in the kitchen and a very large chest-freezer in the garage, a hand down from parents, vintage 1970 LEC, still going strong.

We keep a list of the contents of both, way too long to list here. Recent acquisition was a WHOLE lamb, fully butchered into joints, chops ribs, shanks, mince, etc.
