[Food] What's in your freezer?

Looking for inspiration, as I have no idea what I should be putting in my freezer.

At the moment, all I've got in there is some emergency chips (which are probably well out of date by now) and a few tubs of ice.

Frozen food is all a bit rubbish right? And freezing fresh stuff just ruins it. I kind of get the impression that the freezer is a bit of a relic from the past, before buying fresh food was so convenient.

What's in your freezer?

???

Normally we have at least
two portions of a base pasta sauce - normally roasted vegetable and tomato thats blended to enable us to put anything in it as required
Two base portions of curry sauce
Two lots of white sauce for pasta, baked dishes, cauliflower cheese etc
Yorkshire puddings
Frozen peeled garlic cloves - grate one into fresh sauces when making
Sometimes have chopped onions for same reason
Prawns, chicken thighs, some amazing pea protein meatballs from Costco
About a metric tonne of ice lollies for the kids
Frozen peas and sweetcorn
Bottle of Vodka

This has reminded me of my intention to document the contents of our freezer in an Apple Note so I know what is in there at any one time, saving me from having to open it up and have a look through.

Our old fridge freezer gave up ghost a few months ago, so we got one of them big ugly chrome boxes that are marketed as "American Fridge Freezer", giving me far more freezer space than ever before, and I've seized the opportunity.

The top two shelves are basically bread products - bread itself, muffins, crumpets, flat breads, pittas, ciabattas, bagels and garlic breads.

Below that, there are two shelves of "dinner" stuff - pies, burgers, some frozen portions of sauces I've previously made and bags of frozen herbs.

The top drawer is potato products, fries, chunky chips and hash browns etc.

The bottom drawer is Quorn stuff - non-chicken pieces, mince, not-meat balls and sausages.

The door storage is full of ice creams on sticks - Magnums etc - whatever was on offer when I last did the shopping.

Lots of very cold stuff or sometimes a bottle of white/rose that we have forgotten to put in the fridge and desperately require a drink of same liquid.
Seriously, a properly used freezer can be very useful, but I dare say you know that.😊

If it’s freezable we cook twice much as we need and have a meal for another day. . Quite often I make soups from any surplus veg and have a few in the freezer .

We tend to cook an extra portion of every meal we make and so freeze that extra portion for Miss WS when we go away (she can't cook at all!). Ice creams and frozen dog horns as well. And a couple of packets of fruit pastels - try them before you knock it.

It doesn't seem to matter what freezer we have we always fill it.

Ice cream, pizzas, a sorted selection of chips and chicken items, vegetables etc

Probably left overs from a slow cooker meal from last year
