The Dutch were luck only to have one player sent off and it got me thinking if they did have four players sent off the game would have had to be abandon under FIFA rules. So my question is does anyone know how the final would have been decided?

Spain would have won with a 3-0 win by default, I believe.

yep 3 - 0 win, what a way to win the world cup.. FIFA would have gone mental and prob banned the dutch from the next world cup as this is meant to be their showpiece

What would have happened if the Spanish hadn't rolled around on the floor grabbing their knees every thirty seconds?

The Dutch would have been playing football and we would've had a better final. Van Bommel should have been sent off and De Jong, plus one or two others. Too be fair the Spanish played acted on occasions, but you expect that now in modern day football.

They would have been accused of wearing illegal body protection,the Dutch would have won the game and the SA equivalent of the St John's Ambulance service would have cleared up on overtime.Unless Portsmouth were meant to be paying.
