When SCR said it was a no and NSC was down....

I was frantically refreshing the page while swearing very loudly, topped off with throwing my phone at the radio when that NIMBY twat was interviewed.......

I was on the phone to Paul Samrah, reading the decision letter (which fell onto my doormat while SCR were inaccurately breaking the NO decision to the world) to him, while he was repeating what I was saying to people in the Club Office.

It would have been nice for the Club Office to have told NSC what was going on, I guess. Instead, it was the other way round.

Paul only phoned me because the Club Office couldn't get NSC to work properly.

:lolol:

PS

The Club did have people up at DMH's place at the time, though.

I think.

I was compiling a particularly gruesome post on NSP in response to the news, and trying to politely tell people who were asking me the decision at work to "f*** off and leave me alone".

By the time I'd done my post, the "don't panic" threads had materialised, and half an hour later I had calmed down from my blind panic and rage.

Heads should f***ing roll at SCR over this.

I was numb with shock. Couldn't believe what I was hearing and that bloody reporter in Falmer Village. I really didn't take it in and then before I could the news changed which was just an information overload.

I was screaming profanities at Mavis Saggytits who was gloating in the way the only narrow minded Little Englanders can gloat: "We're not against the Albion, honestly, we all like them. We just don't want the stadium within 5 miles of this pathetic little shithole of a village". (May be a bit of poetic license there):lolol:

I'm glad I live in Guildford because I would have been tempted to go down there and give the woman a good swift kick up the clitoris....then the REAL news started filtering through on NSC and I began to calm down.

I am now very angry at SCR for the way they handled things (this the day after they were announcing to the world that they had secured all Albion games for the upcoming season). THEN, to add insult toinjury, Tarquin No-Chin manages to get on air saying shit like "They made themselves homeless. If they hadn't sold the Goldstone they wouldn't be homeless", etc. etc. Strangely enough, I started swearing at him too:salute:

My next move was to email the f**Kwits at SCR to complain about the morons they had just had on-specfically Tarquin No-Chin. It's now 12 hours + since my email and not a word from them. SCR must surely qualify for the "Shiitiest Reporting on a Live Show" award? Twats. They totally ruined my day.

Has anybody had a reply from SCR who has complained about their reporting of this morning?

Talk about telling less than half a story.

Shoddy journalism - Richie Morris could have done better.

Johnny Morris could have done better and he's been dead a few years:lolol:

This could be a 'Halftime at Hereford' thread......

I got onto NSC and saw a thread titlted something like 'Falmer it's NO" I think it was by Turkey, all it contained was a few posts saying stuff like 'Just heard on SCR, Govt have turned down Falmer"

I felt incredibly upset and incredibly angry. I could feel my heart pounding. The bastards! The total, complete, uncaring, dogma-following, anti-community, anti-people bastards. How could a scheme that had the backing of the majority of the city be derailed by a tiny rural elite? Democracy pah! Sick joke, we're still just downtrodden peasants. I went back on the web, determined to get hold of Al Queda or IRA dissidents. I wanted Semtex, an Armalite and ideally some Anthrax; if the government and the Civil Servants wouldn't listen to reason then they'd damm well have to listen to violence. I was going to make myself feel better by bombing Baker's Lewes HQ and then going up to Falmer and shooting a few Nimbys.

Fortunately these proto-Rambo fanatasies faded as I got back onto NSC and saw Lord B's (may he live forever) thread. The relief! I didn't feel happy or elated, I still think there's too much to do for that, but at least I was back to where I was before I'd heard the news. By the end of the day once I'd had time to digetst everything I was a bit happier still, but despite the exhortations I didn't feel like celebrating. The fight goes on, we've still got a club to save for our children and future generations.

PS - I probably wouldn't have bombed Lewes or killed anybody - but to coin a phrase "Don't push me!"

Despairing in an internet cafe, getting strange looks as my anger and frustration became more and more apparent. I had to leave soon after the initial story (SCR - clueless) broke so didn't get to hear the reality of the situation until later.

I was playing golf at the Forest of Arden and was blissfully unaware about the no / scr reporting and read a text on the walk to the 10th tee explaining the situation. So I missed all the panic :D :D

I posted this yesterday, it seemed to reflect exactly my mood swings during that period of time.

"It was like the period between Swindon scoring in the play off semi's and that header - from doom, gloom and despire to utter relief that its not all over yet

Thank you Lord B for getting the right story posted - the Adam Virgo of NSC"

I was driving on the M62 when I heard the BBC announce on 5live that falmer had been 'denied'. Wanted to put my head in my hands, but just gripped the wheel & drove slowly in the inside lane for a bit!

i was texting everyone i had said i would with the bad news, whilst shouting 'f*** off' at the gloating villager on the radio who kept saying how she liked the albion really. I then had a phone call from mendoza who was apprently sitting on a horse, half way up a mountain in the Phiilipines. He sounded like he was gonna cry when i told him.

Then, suddenly we found out the idiots at scr had ballsed it up. Cue, phoning everyone i had told the wrong result to tell them otherwise. Happiness was quickly replaced by anger so i phoned scr and had a chat with the sports editor. He is a pratt. I was told I was a nob by someone i had told the wrong decision to, because they had told everyone on their floor of amex that we hadn't got it and now they had to tell them that actually we might still get it yet. Not my fault i said.

But soon after that I was calmed down and I got a message from mendoza to inform me that he was cheering himself up and had taught a parrot to say 'marvellous'.

:)
