1-1 draw at Aldershot. 1975 ish? We just missed out on promotion that year.

We had about 8,000 in an 11,000 crowd. Goal posts were wrecked at the end.

Portsmouth away, Christmas 1976. Lost 1-0. I think Fozzie was playing for Pompey that day if I remember right.

I was there. We missed a penalty didn't we?

One of my favourite away games.....started off by being on the Shelf with a couple of drunken mates...

We were just in front of the shelf. Got their late and couldn't get in the Brighton end. That certainly was a hairy day!

What was your first league/cup match away from Goldstone, Withdean, Amex.

Today is that first for Stat Club Juniors.

As Stat Father didn't take me to away games, I think mine might have been Hull in the FA Cup, the season we ALL went to Peterborough in the next round.

3-2 Albion - mid '80's.

Torquay away. 2001? We won 1-0, bobby with the goal.

Reading at Elm Park in 1985. A wide-eyed 14-year-old, I watched terrified as it kicked off all over the town, inside the ground, at the station, bloody everywhere. A 2-1 defeat in which Trevor Senior handled the ball in controlling it to score the winner, last few minutes. Police opened the gates to the terrace and charged in afterwards. As a welcome to away supporting 80's style, it was pretty hairy.
