Bloke was kicked out for wearing a spectacularly chavvy hat as far I as I could tell. The best entertainment of the evening was him struggling against the stewards as they led him away.

Not as big a wanker as the bus driver who insisted on collecting ticket stubs before letting everybody on.

What a twat. Everyone getting on had Albion scarves, hats and tops on. It's bleeding obvious we've been to the game. It was cold, it was getting late for the kiddies and no other bus driver has ever done that after a game. f***ing jobsworth tosser, he just made everyone grumpier as they scrabbled around inside pockets and bags.

No what they actually got chucked out for was STANDING - the away fans are always allowed to stand and yet our own supporters get chucked out - they sit in their office above the disabled section radioing through to the stewards to kick the fans out if they don't sit down - Now i saw one of the stewards bending that blokes arm and it was bang out of order the way he was being treated - then near the end of the match we leave to stand down the front and watch the match finish - have done for years - now we are being told none of us can stand down the front - this club has gone mad - i don't think they want home fans anymore - we have to pay £23.50 to watch shit football - sit in a shit hole and then stewards treat people like this - can see any attraction to want to come back for anyone

Lets face it, our stewards are the biggest ****s in the league. You expect it at away games, but we've got the only set who are biased against the home crowd.

then near the end of the match we leave to stand down the front and watch the match finish - have done for years - now we are being told none of us can stand down the front

Do you mean standing on the running track near the end of the game?

If so, there were plenty of people doing it (myself included), and not a word said. Who told you that and how far from the end of the game was it at the time?

there's a book called 'Theatre of Silence' (google it) you might find it a good read.

PS I personally have no problem with the away fans standing, they are at pitch level, we're not. I am against all seater stadia.

Yep we have to ensure EVERYONE, behind the goal all 2,350 odd (if full) STAND at Falmer, every week, without question as they do at Leeds, West Ham, Liverpool etc we have to educated the fuckers that we ARE going to stand or they will have a silent ground, they cannot chuck everyone out.
I remember at Southampton a few years back they let the home fans stand and made us sit down and we did! JUST SAY NO!

I watched them from the north stand and i must say usually sitting in the south e block i don't see it.

but ffs, no one in the singing section gives a shit if they have to stand up all bloody game. there's no little old people at the back begging for everyone to sit down so they could see, so the way the stewards reacted was nothing short of a disgrace.

i'd really like to know how the away fans are any different to the home fans..

We went down with about 3 minutes or so to go and were being moved on - the steward we spoke to was really nice - we spoke to him for about three minutes about it then just stood there - there is someone sitting in the office above the disabled bit watching us in the south stand - if they then radio down to the stewards to remove us that's what they have to do

When we spoke to the steward last night and said we have been doing this for years as it makes it a bit easier to get out - he said yes i know but they want it stopped now

I think some of the stewards have had enough - some are really nice but i think you still get a few that are a bit power crazy and over the top

there was a funny atmosphere last night. the young kid with the hat got a bit of piss taking from where i was in a block , all good natured really but his fat mate with a white coat and hat took it on himself to give us some stares so we gave them back then he started on us . so we gave him the who ate all the pies etc , they were then looking for us at half time , about 15 of them. young stupid hoolie wannabees who have watched too much green street if you ask me. funny though , never been started on by another albion fan before . maybe it sums up the mood at the moment. personally i think theyre just tw*ts to be fair. however to be fair to the kid with the hat i was in h block in the first half and it did look like he was just singledout for standing but i may have missed something.

I saw that fella in the railway bell where my good friend is the manager. Him and his friends were well behaved in there and in good spirit, somehow between 7 and about 8 o clock he must have started playing up!

Club needs to pay more attention to the "steward" issue than they currently do that's for sure. They ruin matchdays for many and word has got around and it's biting at the turnstiles now. Chosing to ignore this is the clubs usual response and frankly, that's not good enough in the current climate.

JUST SAY NO!

I wish they had chucked out the lads behind us in C Block. With their fake North London accents and incoherent shouts - a trio of idiots of the highest order. And an illustration of why we need standing at games.
