Ummm, you do know you put "man" in the title of this thread and then used "he" in one of the options, don't you? A touch ironic then that you accuse another user of sexism?

Regarding timing - if they haven't turned up yet, I'll plump for 2:30.

And I was being sexist.And I apologise.

It depends on what the visit is for.

In theory if it's a minor non-emergency type fault, it'll probably be closer to 1. However if it's urgent and / or you have young kids / vulnerable people in your house and you've let them know, they they probably would've turned up by now as they prioritise these situations.

He (or she) is probably having a cup of tea with my Sky TV man (or woman) right now.

12.59 arrival I suggest.

There is no indication by the OP that he requires a boiler service or has any plumbing needs.
He says "my British Gas man" - it may be a recreational visit in which some pipe is laid and hb&b is made airtight.

What's he coming for? Is it something to do with the supplier side of things (electric/gas meters) or the boiler?

My Sky man has arrived.

But guess what? He can't go on the roof due to H&S reasons. Like what?

Amused me no end when the Sky man said that at my house. "Because the outside wall is over x height it would be a two man job to fit the dish", yet Sky only sent one man?! Dont know why they didnt consider it, espically as it was an install they came out for.

Same here.

I've now been without Sky for 10 days.

I think I will help them continue that trend.

The chap who came out was as helpful as he could be. He was let down by the system I guess.
