Reading elsewhere it has been suggeted the sit-in achieved nothing.. Well here are my thoughts:

1. It achieved good coverage in today's Argus, BBC South and Meridian (scheduled for tonight). That was worthwhile.

2. The national media are notoriously slow at picking up on things, but this will hopfully make them take notcie of the flower protest. Sky Sports already planning live piece with Dick for between 8.10am.

3. Most importantly it has galvanised the Albion support. We have never had togetherness like that - not even during 1995-7 as the players and club weren't involved.

Indeed, if anything it brought the club and the fans closer together than EVER before and if it helps Prescott make the right decision in any way, no matter how small, then it was a success.

Well done to everybody involved, give yourselves a pat on the back from me.

Brighton and PROUD.

Very true. The nationals only follow what the locals lead with... Sustain the campaign and after a few days they will begin to get interested. There's a fair amount of 'my football club is going to die' fatigue in the media at the moment, so we must keep plugging away.

Can we do the same at Luton?

Or does this create travel probs back to Brighton?

True - remember, this is a CAMPAIGN. I have never heard of a four day campaign....band wagons take time to start rolling, and journo's only jump on when there is a good head of steam. We haven't got long, but we don't need to be upset just because Falmer is not yet ahead of WMD in the public eye.

I saw it on Meridian news at lunchtime.

Although I was sadly not there, it struck me that it strengthened the resolve and cameraderie of the fans and surely that cannot be a bad thing.
