Is that to use the public conveniences? Saving you the inconvenience of having to find loose change ???

Yup Canada or America, when ever you buy tickets on line they shaft you for different fees. My favourite is sometime they charge you a fee to mail tickets (can understand that) but they also charge you the fee if you print them on-line at home. I was just at the Toronto FC vs LA Galaxy game and that was $8.50 cdn a ticket..... basically total bullshit

I'm waiting for one of the usual apologists to turn up and say "It's only a small charge and they've got to cover their costs. After all no one objects when you walk into a High Street shop and they hit you with a surcharge to cover heat, light and staff costs .... oh hang on"

Out of all the curious people who inhabit NSC I find those who defend the concept of booking fees and online surcharges to be the most weird.

I got charged the convenience fee last time I bought baseball tickets.

I paid for the choice of the convenience of picking up the tickets at the stadium, or the convenience of printing the tickets out myself on my own printer at home.

As it happens this was more convenient than having them posted to me, but there was not an option for that anyway.

All very convenient for them I would suggest.

Its a racket. Worldwide.
