I was on the train this morning listening to Barber's Addagio for Strings....stay with me here....and the last time I heard it was on a moving documentary of the Twin Towers being destroyed with this very apt music in the background.

Now that got me thinking that Robert Eaton used to sit and post on here whilst sitting in his office in one of the Towers and where do people post from and what can they see out of the window.

I will start off...I am in Shoreditch off City Road and can see a Nurses Home out of the window and a very blue sky :angel:

Good morning. I am in Regency square, and out of the window I can see the rusting West Pier. The sea looks good this morning.

I used to have a nice view of Portland Place. But my old office is now a building site and I've been moved to open plan hell with a distant window overlooking a narrow street where the sun never shines. :angry:

Good morning. For the next 9 days at least (my last day of paid employment is 29 October) I sit in a bright and modern office – which I share with the MD and a co-director. Walls painted lilac, hardwood floor and light oak workstations.
It is two storey building in a semi-rural part of Sunderland (4 miles from the city centre) and I look out on to lawns and trees – which are fast losing their leaves.

From 1 November – when I will work from home in the run-up to the launch of my own company. I will work in a much smaller office/study on the upper floor of a town house in South Shields. I will look out onto three trees and a street of Victorian terraced housing. My office is painted dark bottle green, with mahogany shelving and furniture and a pale stone coloured berber carpet. I will have music playing all day long!

St James's Square in London. Full of trees, nice bright sunny day. Very pleasant.

Ah the Gherkin!

from our top floor, where the AS400's are, I can see the Gherkin, Earl Court roof, BT Tower and the old Mobil/Shell building in Moorgate

A large modern building on the Euston Road, which was opened in 1997 and was slagged off by Prince Charles when it was being built. My view is that of St Pancras station and the building site for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

A mid-80's 'Data Centre' - all glass and aluminium - in a 'Country Park', an out of town business development.

The view... trees, lots of them!

And two lakes, one with kids fishing (none today though) and the other, sometimes, with canoes / windsurfers;

quite an angry sky, with dark thundery clouds;

the occasional rabbit, cat - and a rather mangy fox;

assorted birds including magpies, jays, a green woodpecker and various tits and finches.

Rather nice really :)
