What shall we sing to these?

Er, no offence Leeds fans, but I always laugh when I hear you going on about hating Man U and Chelsea.

Man United MIGHT just hold a shred of feeling about you still, for geographical and historic reasons. And that's after they've looked for Liverpool and Man City results.

But honestly pal, Chelsea don't give a shit about you.

Laugh at you, yes. Many football fans do that, such is life. But care enough to hate you? Think you'll find you're in a bit of a one way relationship there my friend.

Do you seriously imagine Jose Mourinho and the thousands in the Shed end seriously think "well we won today, now lets hope Leeds got spanked" after every game?

Wake up and smell the coffee Leeds, you're no more important to Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal etc than Coventry, QPR, Watford or any other mediocre mid table Championship side.

I have never heard Scum or Chelsea sing about Coventry. Maybe they do and I missed it.

They might not give a shit but they still cant help themselves from singing about us. The Scum had a half hour reindition of Leeds Scum at the weekend. Their we've got Alan Smith song is also sung at every Scum home game. And I was at the Bridge two weeks ago and they couldn't help themselves with singing "lets all laugh at leeds" But if thats them not caring about us then so be it.

And its friendly banter little more, little less. I sure don't sit around waiting to see if they got beat or not, as I am sure they don't us.

The Scum come to Wakey on thursday and you're telling me they won't sing anti-Leeds songs? Nuh-huh.

Laughing at Leeds is different to hating them though.

Despite our puny position, crappy ground and distinctly incomparable finances, even we laugh at Leeds, along with every other "big club" that comes here and looks aghast at Withdean. (doesn't mean we think we're better, apart from when we beat you ;) ).

That's the nature of the game, and the British mentality isn't it, to cheer on the underdog and mock those who've fallen from grace.

You must get the same old songs from every club in the Championship (even West Ham, who are almost as much of a shambles but have the same big club-divine-right-to-be-in-the-Premiership attitude), but it doesn't make them hate you.

Leeds are losing the attitude much faster than West Ham, whose fans still ring 6-0-6 demanding action against Pardew every time they so much as concede a goal, whereas I don't seem to hear your fans doing the same.

All I'm saying is, at this level, it sounds a bit sad when you sing about hating Chelsea in particular, cos I can't see them doing the same for you.

Still think you'll get out of this league before West Ham, incidentally, because you seem to be buying players suited to the Championship. But neither of you will make it this year.

'You're not a big club anymore' is rubbish. The words don't fit the tune properly and it's not accurate anyway. Leeds are still a very big club.

'You're not FAMOUS anymore' is much more like it.

Scum do sing about us, as do Chelsea (just two weeks ago I was there when they sang Lets all laugh at leeds). Barnsley too, Hudds also and even Hull have their own Leeds chant going, I don't see the big deal in them singing about us and us them. We might not play those teams week in week out but it's friendly banter and that's what makes the world go round.

We do get the same old songs from every team in this league, going bust going bust, there's only one peter ridsdale, champions league you're having a laugh etc. I wish people would get more inventive and sing us something new for once! lol

We're going no-where this season and thats fine with me, I think next season depends a lot on which manager comes in and what happens with then finances and who we bring in/let go etc.

We gave you a few new ones the other week, but they were all hooligan-based I'm afraid. Still, at least they were new! And there was no repeat of the Istanbul bullshit either, which was a relief.

That 'marching on together' routine at the start of the game is a bit drab, isn't it? Your fans to our right looked a little embarrassed to be singing it, but they kept it up all the same.

To be fair to Leeds the Man Utd/Leeds Utd do have a bit of history including the time when Jordan & McQueen were both sold together to the Old Trafford side.
I was at the match which took place only a few weeks later and the atmosphere was tremendous because of that.

There is also the War of the Roses which is taken into account.

I sit [stand] in the Kop and we struggle to hear what away fans chant so I couldn't hear anything that you all chanted. Could see that you were singing just no idea what was said.

MOT is Leeds, written especially for us and I am not embarressed to sing it, nor will I ever be.
