That may be it. Most people can be quite nice, they can also be shits. It's not always easy to see the good in people, but it's normally there.

LOL. I guess most "youngsters" are tw*ts.............god hark at me, I'm only 37 !

This is the thing , those who you expect to be complete and utter knobs are actually nice people , it's the ones you don't expect who (in my dealings at least) turn out to be total and utter scum.

Try living overseas, you'll have your faith in Humanity restored. When you rely on acts of kindness you start to see kind people everywhere and the odd arsehole shrinks into the background.

Because there are more arseholes in England than abroad, or because you have to rely on people's kindness so appreciate it more?

I'd understand if it was either to be honest.

I guess it's easier to identify arseholes in your own country, and feel compelled to try and understand why they're so. Abroad you can be more subjective coz your not so invested in society.

However I've found myself a victim arsehole of behaviour far more often on a day to day basis in England in the last 10-15 years, something seems to have gone awry.

It's unreasonable people that move their world forward e.g. Tony Bloom, Dick Knight, Mike Bamber.
