I emailed Liz Costa and told her all about this and how it has annoyed me somewhat. Her response? She wished me 'all the luck in the coming season and hopefully shed see us (I can only presume she meant Hull City) down at the Withdean in a few seasons.

What makes a fan a fan? Devotion to the club in whatever capacity.

Nail on head.

That said, I do have to vouch for Fran Hagartys devotion to The Albion. Although I don't agree with fan 'ratings' she is probably the BEST Albion fan I know. And what makes it better is that she is one of the nicest ladies you could meet and never goes on about what a good fan she is.

absolute nonsense.

Having a season ticket, a collection of Albion home and away shirts, buying a programme, withdean wager and a cofee and hot dog every game, going to away games and not sitting down makes you a fan.

Poor people should be discouraged from going.

BTW I went to EVERY game at Gillingham which makes me a much better fan that any of you...so yah boo sucks to you all.

PS I love old people, women, young people, nurses, babies. In fact, when people accuse me of blatent electioneering, I say....VOTE FOR MEEEEEEE ( C/o Spitting Image Neil Kinnock/Brian Waldron sketch)

Yes. You are more use to the club if you give them lots of your money.

Bill Archer effectively gave the club £700,000 when he agreed to write off half of his loan when he left the board. On your reckoning that makes him a better fan than most here........which is nice:wave:

No.

Only if you have more money than the average football supporter and you attend at least three games a season on the supporters coach, at least two of which you must sit next to Liz Costa or Sarah Watts, and on at least one of you must wear a bobble hat.

:jester:

What rubbish, how on earth could anyone possibly manage to sit next to Sarah Watts on the coach?

What makes a fan - for me it has to be tying little bits of ribbon to the front so they look like streamers when .... you ..... turn ..... it ....

Actually you can travel on the coach and not be a member of the supporters club. The club is completely separate.

(THAT is the reason i don't know half the leaving times etc, etc)
