Well Ritchie, I HOPE you said to that woman, in a loud voice of course, "watch it, you stupid bitch"?

What the conversation you started in a thread so you could tell us this ?

I did not start the thread to tell you all this. I started the thread to say that it was silly arguing about who is a better fan.

Incidentally, I notice you have not defended the supporters clubs actions in Hull...

Dancing Ninja...yes...yes I am a chicken.

Firstly Richie I was not bickering but putting forward a point of view into a discussion.

Secondly you are exaggerating the attitude of the supporters at Hull.

I was there and it wasn't as bad as you make out.

Two regulars on this board are part of that supporters club ie Fran Hagarty and Albiongirl and certainly don't have that attitude you are talking about.

I wasnt meaning you Yorkie.

I did not say the attitude of all the supporters club was like that. I only mentioned two people and am sorry for anyone else who is a member who does not act like, Im sure there are more of you who are nice then who are not.

The point I was struggling to make was more about the attitude of Liz Costa then the actual members.

I didn't think that Liz had a bad attitude. I got the impression she was upset because they were late more than anything.
I didn't get the impression she was trying to muscle in on anything.
Yes they had a photo taken because they had the banners etc.

She made a mistake about your identity but that doesn't give her a bad name surely?

She was very rude and condescending to me when I was trying to explain why the press had left.

I was polite in my email as well explaining everything, i.e. that I was a Brighton fan who had arranged for the press etc. Not a word of thanks just a rude email back and then one wishing Hull City good luck.

Many of the supporters club were friendly and polite but I was really annoyed at her attitude.

What makes a fan a fan? Devotion to the club in whatever capacity.

No.

Only if you have more money than the average football supporter and you attend at least three games a season on the supporters coach, at least two of which you must sit next to Liz Costa or Sarah Watts, and on at least one of you must wear a bobble hat.

You must also post on North Stand Chat at least 15 times a day and use vocabulary such as "postcount" and "private message" in your normal everyday life. You must also open and close evey sentence with the word colon.

A proper fan would also know all eleven of Charlie Oatway's names and be able to say them backwards. You must also attempt to write fanzines every three weeks, dedicating so much time to them you are unable to shave.

I do struggle to shave quite a lot. Does that make me a Superfan?

As for me:

More money than the average supporter:
NO - Wish I had!

Attend at least three games a season on the Supporters coach: YES The most convenient way for me to travel.

Sit next to Liz Costa or Sarah Watts:
NO - I travel with and sit with my friends

Wear a bobble hat:
NO never owned one & have never seen anyone on the coach wearing one. Nor do I have a blue rinse or wear an anorak.

I attend all matches home and away but that doesn't qualify me as a better fan than anyone else! A loyal one maybe, but not better! Arrogant, I'm not! I'm just happy to be able to support the club I've followed since I was a child. Brighton 'til I die!

Don't forget Braders and me. We both travel to most away games on the supporters' coach.

Actually you can travel on the coach and not be a member of the supporters club. The club is completely separate.
