...and how old is it?

This thought came to me as I urinated earlier this evening.

I'm not sure what my personal answer is, but I'm pretty sure the Ralph Lauren sweatshirt I have on today is about 7 or 8 years old and, looking at it, it's still in pretty good nick - no bobbling or anything.

I've got a couple of jumpers and Tshirts which are at least 10 years old. They wash well. I knitted myself a cardigan which must be 20 years old now and that it still in good nick.

Jumper, eight - ten years old.

I once had BHA pants that were ten years plus old as I maintained they were lucky. Finally chucked them in 1997.

I wear a blue woolly hat that my granny knitted for me for the football and she has been dead for a long time now. It has never been washed!

I have a goretex jacket and fleece that I bought in 96, still going strong, wore them on Saturday to the footy. I also have a pair of handmade black leather brogues from about 1990, still in their box, don't wear them that often though.

Vulcan knee support (Made in Sweden) purchased from David Rose early 1990 when recovering from cruciate injury. Worn regularly since for tennis, squash, 5-a-side has lost all its colour and is starting to go in places...but has lasted about 15 years longer than I thought it would.

2 pairs of Camper shoes, they must be at least 10 years old, and a great investment. I have never felt the need to buy any other pair of 'proper' shoes.

An England Rugby shirt, all white, from 1991, luckily I found it in the loft, just before the final, and was able to wear it with pride. Before throwing up on it. Like the mature responsible adult I am.

I don't wear it regularly, but I still have an Albion bobble hat and scarf from 1983.

Ramones T-shirt bought at a gig in Hammersmith in 1979.

Bit covered in paint these days as it's my decorating shirt, but otherwise it's in surprisingly good nick...

I have an Albion scarf that I found on the terraces at Derby after the League Cup game in 1976.

Other than that, I have a few shirts from the late 80s still.
