I think that the offensiveness of the word 'c unt' is often overstated.

In this world of extremes it is not easy to describe just how evil/ stupid /arrogant/ thoughtless some people are, but there are so many of them around. So when you describe someone as a c unt it clearly conveys the degree of awfulness to the listener.

I think the word is so common now that it is not nearly as offensive as it was years ago. You can't drive for more than 5 minutes without thinking or calling another driver a c unt.

I think the modern day taboo word is a toss-up between coon, wog or nig-nog. I don't think it is ****** because black people still use it in their rap music but you don't hear them saying "Yo, wassup nig-nog?"
