What is the highest position you have seen the Albion?

I started supporting the Albion when I was 7 & am 42 now & that 5th place was indeed the highest we ever climbed, oh but what a dizzying height it was, before the season really got underway & down we slid! Oh well.

Think it was about 14th in the old 1st division, about 1982/3. Got an idea that was our best. ( unless questions are asked, and he starts being a dick)

Sorry but you should take another look at your dates again. A clue is relegation and cup final in the same year!!!

Highest finishing position I saw was 13th under Mike Bailey in 1981/82.

The highest place I have seen Brighton play is the Hawthorns, approx 168 metres above sea level!!!!!

I started supporting the Albion in 1984, so I believe the highest league position I have seen them get to, was the Barry Lloyd era when we made the play-offs in 1991…one game from the premeirship. (Did we flirt with 4th place that year?)

I know there are a lot of younger and older fans :

We went 3rd that year when we won 3 - 1 at Bristol Rovers. Don't ask me how i remember that

Got into the albion properly through friends who were supporters. I started attending regularly ever since going to cardiff in 04. But first memory of albion was going to the goldstone with school mates to watch an evening game around 1994. The highest league position i can remember was i suppose staying up in the championship a few years back
