Just bide your time mate. All things must pass. At the slightest whiff of a downturn in the club's fortunes, the ST waiting list will evaporate overnight, the queues for every damn thing will once again become reasonable and the club will be once more openly courting the core support, both current and past. Which probably numbers no more than 50% of the current ST base, and that's being generous.

yes, its a lot. Footballers are paid too much.

Arguably.

Although you can also think of football as one of the more socialist industries out there. In most walks of life business owners and shareholders make money off the back of low-salaried workers whilst often doing very little themselves. In football the workers on the shop-floor, i.e. The players, share in the success.
even for under performing ???

who in their right mind WANTS TO PAY OVER INFLATED PRICES it's been noted the PL's awash with money to the extent the clubs don't really need gate revenue but still want to FLEECE their support , what's not to like about that

The wages footballers at the top level receive are obscene by any "normal" standards. But that's just the nature of the industry, its the market rate these days. All the while TV companies and corporate sponsors are falling over themselves to pour billions upon billions into the Premier League coffers, a large chunk of that will obviously find its way into the star performers pockets. The whole world wants to see these players, so why shouldn't the ones providing the entertainment get a large amount of the proceeds ?

With that being said, there is clearly enough money in the game to enable a massive reduction in ticket prices, and the capping of away tickets at £30 is a step in the right direction. More could be done to make home tickets more affordable though, as gate receipts are now a relative drop in the ocean for a Premier League clubs overall turnover, now that the TV money has gone loopy.

But that's not the players fault.

Albion's support at the Amex has been pretty resilient though so not sure what you mean.
The lowest ST numbers were c18/19K post the Hyppia season. Presumably that was the Champ hardcore or floor, unless we're back for a spell in L1. . And now they are 23K.
We'd really have to be in a right old state to have c11/12K ST holders - ie: "core support" as you put it. Struggling in L1 ?

Sorry, I was responding to a fellow fan, not to a club-sponsored social media manager
