A quick Google tells us Mahoney Johnson is now a baggage handler at Heathrow. Would probably come cheap and do a job if he gives a weeks notice.

1 Gus found goalscoring very easy as a player and has assumed that there is no place for specialist goalscorers. A bit like Cruyff's treatment of Lineker at Barca.
2 BHA fans are quick to abuse strikers. Wood got little credit because he was a big striker ( not part of the BHA heritage ). Little account was taken of his age ...19/20.
And then there's the case of Craig Davies who was obviously a bloke who lacked confidence. And that confidence was eroded by the Barn Door bollocks he got at Withdean.
As for Murray, he got shedloads of abuse until Poyet got the best out of him.

lol,,,Poyet got the BEST out of him. I think you will find that he is currently the second highest goalscorer in Europe. Playing in a league higher than when Poyet used to sub him and leave him out etc etc.....Or is his current form down to the man, who clearly didn't want/rate him high enough(fact) and was going to build a side around CMS(Poyet's own words).
