Some of the users on here are an utter embarrasment to themselves. If we dont sign a single player it will be because the right quality wasnt available at the right price.

A situation any supporter with an ounce of intellect could easily grasp, particuarly after the unbelievable strengthening that has already occured this season.

Well said ! I'm still riding the wave of how far we come, Fantastic Stadium and a current squad of players that would have been nothing more than a pipe dream 2 or 3 years ago. we are a top half championship club with a realistic chance of play off's or better. some people need to calm down and trust in Tony and Gus. they have both invested far too much ( money & reputation) for them not to be doing every thing they can to make promotion a reality.

Today has been a fantastic day for Kazenga LuaLua. He'll be involved in almost every game now I suspect and I believe that was a large part of the thinking behind selling Noone. It is clever squad evolvement for me, and whether we sign a new striker today or not, I am very pleased with our squad. A striker will complete our squad, but as it currently stands I am VERY happy with our squad.

I see Andrea Orlandi as being a more Bennett type midfielder than Noone, and a lot of people would suggest that we needed a Bennett type. Buckley made noises at the start of last season that Gus thought he could do that role, but it's not his game I don't think. Orlandi, however, seems a lot more technically proficient and from the little I've seen, he doesn't seem to be the type to try and outpace players, but pass them into submission. I suspect he will round our squad very nicely, and being left footed is a nice bonus. When we play our one winger system, I suspect we'll see a lot of Orlandi play narrow on that side and I think we'll be much stronger for it.

Maybe I'm just trying to put positive spin on things, but I genuinely think replacing Noone with a more technical player who has played a more central midfield role can only be a good thing, and the fact we're massively up on the deal financially is just a wonderful bonus. If we can agree terms with a striker we want, and not just someone forced upon us, then our squad will be FEARSOME.

I was bloody delighted with Orlandi and the prospect of Dobbie. But now we're getting Lopez!!! Oh my word.

Up to 6 transfers????

1 in on a free, less than 4 hours to go.......

Has Poyet been promising players and not delivering AGAIN?????

Seriously pissed off, and for those of you that say 'look how far we've come' etc I'm sorry but f*** that. If you can't deliver the players then keep quiet and don't get people's hopes up unnecessarily.

Totally. Some people on here really don't have a clue. If you are 'disappointed' with the club given the strength and quality of the signings we have already made this season (Kuzcsak, Crofts, Bruno, Bridge), not to mention the fact that we have a brilliant manager, a great chairman and a magnificent new stadium, then please kindly do us a favour and sod off and support someone else.
