A bobble hatter is a STH who attends the match and doesn't want to draw attention to themself. The most ecstatic they get is to handclap when we score a goal. At half time they may be seen with a flask and a homemade sandwich. The bobble hatters in a group might talk amongst themselves but a debate never becomes heated in case one of them suffers a heart attack. Back in the era of the Goldstone they were mainly found in the Chicken Run with the posh ones in the West Stand , nowadays they frequent the North Stand which is why it is so quiet on that side of the ground on a matchday compared to the South Stand (well , parts of it). When travelling away the bobble hatter is very helpful if you need to know train times etc.

I used to have a bobble hat, but then the bobble fell off.
