What if the inquiry says another site is better?

what if this inquiry about alternative sites actually does say yep there is a better site, say toads hole valley or waterhall and that falmer is not the best option (and plenty already think that!) what happens then ? The whole falmer thing has been a waste, millions down the drain, a pipe dream and then what, we start again saying Waterhall for all or toads hole valley for all !!!?? Fcvking nightmare worse still the club havnt the money to waste this time around,it’ll bee a sinking ship.

thats what every1 is hoping but it really might and im suggesting if it did i cant see where the money would come from surely that would mean doom gloom and the club go the way of Aldershot?

whereas DICK is TIGHT potless, cant go on without cash injection and all time potless is at the helm noone will step forward yes no proper ground dont help but lets facre it silent ahs hardly enspired others to come forward has he, i mean sale of Zamora messed uop when could got millions had he sold to Everton, then copples compensation and the money wear hat go then theres cardiff playoff, final all that money wear has it gone lining the pockets of a pipe drweam thats wear does silent seriously think the fans are that much of mugs to be taken for a ride a by a tick for a seat in stadium with no planning permission and not even built? mite as well be selling tickets for a house on the moon, its laughable what dick tight has NOT achieved and how the money has just apparently vanished. the way i see its theres only one possible solution sell ALL EVERY PLAYER POSSIBLE i mean the lot back room staff sack em all pay the youth team peanuts to play in this league accept we are going down and concentrate on league survival bar drop to the conference slah the wage bill massive time, ok the football will be cr@p but it aint exactly Charlton or Fulham now anyway is it? Also scrap Falmer put it on backburner its wasting money when we need it now for survival accept a ground share Crawley seams obvious but dont rule out Pal@rse or Gillingham it wasnt that bad after all

Pillock.

Or am I missing the irony?

i said the club should be raising the money cost saving not asking the fans to bail them out

AND

ive also stated that if another site is shown to be more suitable the costs to bear for the club in starting a new falmer again would be too high to bear IMHO

Braders how is it a win-win situation if its say Toads Hole Valley is more suitable the club still have toi spend stacks of money like they have so far on falmer to get Toads Hole on the go and apparently thet are currently skint or did i miss sumthing about them coming to the fams asking for them to did even deeper when season tickets cost enough as it is!!!!

Because you grade A numpty .... We would effectively have been given permission for the ground (Falmer no but you can have Toad Hole). Yes it would cost to resubmit the plans/design BUT much of the work will still be viable.

Look, its really quite simple. The government have acknowledged the need for a new stadium to be built, the one remaining issue is where.

The inquiry is being re-opened to ascertain if Falmer is the best site possible for the stadium, and have specified 6 other sites as possibilities. If those 6 other sites are dismissed as less suitable than Falmer, then we get Falmer. However, if the Government decide after this current Inquiry that, in fact, Waterhall (for example) is a preferable and more suitable site than Falmer, then we will get planning permission to build at Waterhall.

This will NOT be subject to to a fresh Inquiry, because the government will have arrived at this decision following the current Inquiry. Local councils cannot call this in to commence a new Inquiry, as they can hardly overrule the ODPM.

What the Government have effectively said is "prove that Falmer is the best option out of these sites". Once each other site is systematically dismissed as unsuitable (which they will be), then there really is only one decision to arrive at, isn't there ? Otherwise, whats the point of re-opening the whole damn process to investigate the other sites, if they were going to say "NO" to Falmer anyway ?

In this extremely unlikely event .... we will put in a planning application for a stadium on that site .... fans will help fund the application and all the moaners and whingers will be saying "I told you so" all day long it will never happen etc; not in my lifetime etc

The name gives it away
Look I know I don't post on here very often and what I'm about to suggest will probably ensure that a number of you will drop great lumps of donkey doos on me from a great height, but I'm extremely worried that the following is just as likely a scenario as the others being suggested on here and various other posts over the last few months.

JP gets the two Inspector reports and says "F*** me, there's no way they can build this at Falmer. But it won't look good to shaft the club so lets see if we can find them somewhere else."

We then go through this enquiry next year looking at the other sites. After it reports and JP has a look at it, (and I bet he doesn't pronounce until way after the next election!), he comes up with the following statement.

"Well lads we've looked at the other sites and your quite right, there all crap. However so is Falmer so sorry but you'll just have to manage as you are."

People keep saying that we are in a win-win situation but as he's not said he will approve Falmer if all else fails, why is everybody so optimistic. Don't get me wrong, I hope I've misunderstood or missed something down the line which means the general optimisim is well founded. It's just I can't see it!

Please prove me wrong.:(

We've been fighting for survival for a long time which is why it is so important that we all support the club as best we can. Aldershot or AFC Wimbledon are real possibilities and that is why we should never be complacent or negative.

YES good point, Aldershot or Wombles outcome is a real possability for the Albion, though Aldershot are on the up and were close to retaining league status last season a move to MK from S London is a little different for the wombles.
