Robot Chicken
Seriously?
Okay, so people are saying Dick Knight has no money, at least no real money to take the club further. Yes we've won championships and the play off final, and Falmer will be given the go ahead (surely).
If at some point in the future a rich businessman (a Russian tycoon say) wanted to buy the club are we going to turn him down as the articles of association (see http://www.thisismoney.com/20020505/nm47883.html ) state that no single shareholder can hold more than 49% of the club.
Is this shortsighted? If that Russian tycoon wanted to buy the club should we really say no? Chelsea seem to be doing rather well from their Russian billionaire chairman, but of course they were in tens of millions of pounds worth of debt (£80m?) and needed someone otherwise they could've gone under...
My question is if someone wants to buy the club to pour loads of money in and take over as chairman or president etc, should we let them?
