The last season we were in division one in 82/3. Tough away game at W Ham somewhere near the end of the season. With about 5 minutes to go Gerry Ryan dribbles round the ENTIRE West Ham team and scores.

They score two goals in the last 3 minutes (from memory) thanks to Tony Cottee. It has coloured the way I try and cope in the last few minutes of Albion games ever since.

MODS please delete this thread. I don't think I've ever read such a depressing & distressing thread.

All those memories, it'll be nightmares tonight.

94-95 season v peterborough....the played the last 45 minutes with 9 men and we still lose 2-1 I have never seen such a spinless bunch in the blue and white and another was in 92-93 v the monkey hangers they had their goalie sent off after 2 minutes the full back went in goal saved chappers penalty...at last in the 2nd half fozzie scored then with their only attack in the last minute they score to make it 1-1 and loads of lloyd out chants

BHA 0 - 4 Walton and Hersham

I normally stay to the bitter end even when the Albion are total shite, but I left this debacle after the third goal.

The next home game we lost 2 - 8 to Bristol Rovers.

Blackpool at home final game of the season in 78. A rumour had gone around that Spurs were losing at the Dell and promotion to Division 1 was ours, the empty feeling at the final whistle was as deep as I have ever felt at an Albion game.

Yep, me too, so near and yet so far.

Also Wembley 1991 v Notts County. It was my birthday and I hadn't even considered defeat.

Who was it? Sudbury Town? Canvey Island? I can't remember exactly which, but we lost on penalties in the cup on a Wednesday evening circa 1995. It was bloody HORRENDOUS.

Can't get worse than losing 4-0 at home to Walton and Hersham in the FA Cup.

That was a "magoo out" kind of game - especially for his after-match comments for all the paying customers to take to the bank.

We were already relegated so I'd suggest that was a game that mattered not a jot, if that's anyone's worst ever Albion memory I suggest they haven't supported the Albion for very long or are letting McGhee hatred cloud their vision. The Bellotti, Archer, Stanley years threw up games that were at least 100 times worse than the Stoke game.

McGhee was kind enough to say exactly that in his post-match interviews. Shame the cuunt didn't tell us in advance that the team would be taking the piss, else we could all have just stayed in the pub. He should have been sacked on the spot for those comments alone, instead of dragging it out into the first couple of weeks of the following season.

Didn't need to be a brain surgeon to work that one out, DK was stalling on all contract talks and anyone who went was a mug if they expected a decent game with disgruntled players and hysterical anti McGhee fever...I gave that game a very wide berth

That was bad but the 5 goal drubbing at selhurst still ranks at the worst one to me.

Perfectly acceptable comments my Mark. I went top the game expecting a poor performance as everybody should of done.

If people expected us to play at 100% when already relegated then they are f***ing stupid!
