-People who slow dramatically on motorways to have a good look at crashes on the other carriageway.

-People who think that the minimal safe gap I am trying to leave between myself and the car in front in the bottleneck on Handcross Hill every evening is the perfect size for them to squeeze into (obviously their need to get to their destination is much greater than mine).

-Old people who pull out of side roads suddenly causing you to brake sharply, and who then proceed to drive at 23mph for the rest of their journey. IF YOU WERE IN SUCH A HURRY TO PULL OUT, GRANDPA, WHY DRIVE SO SLOWLY?

-When you're on a main road and someone on a side road approaches really fast, braking only at the last second, causing you to wonder if they're actually going to stop.

-people who tailgate you, especially those who are chatting on their phone while they're doing it.

I could go on for hours.....

Actually Bwian you're right about people sitting in the 2nd or 3rd lane of a motorway. I think motorway training ought to be included somewhere along the line, as a lot don't seem to know the rules.

I agree and it doesn't tend to be 'girlies'

Tailgating after that (and if anyone thinks it is because I drive slowly - my average speed on the motorway is 80-85)

What's wrong with them? We're not all dicks.

Im sure if you did a poll (now theres an idea) 95% of taxid drivers would be disliked, a bit like estate agents!!
The'yre not all bad, were not all bad. But on the whole I dont like them. Hardly any of them indicate (not saying you dont), they all let their best mates cats cousin 3 times removed out first nd they think they own the road. They are not as bas as bus drivers though, and the worst are cyclists.

An honourable mention goes to kid cyclists with no lights at night-time

It's not only kids cycling with no lights, 90% of all cyclists I see don't have any lights.

Tailgating is most annoying on that poll, so I voted for that.

But what really gets to me are drivers who drive below the speed limit and cause long queues of cars behind them.

What fecks me off is someone up my arse when i'm having to go slow because of the person in front. If i'm going slow you can bet there's a bloody good reason for it. Invariably you get someone right on your tail egging you on to overtake. Now that's all well and good if you are in a Porsche but sometimes you need make sure you CAN overtake safely. Some people just can't understand the principle of getting there late but alive!

Coming back from Withdean i regularly see some seriously dangerous overtaking on the A27.

I don't like drivers who won't put their headlights on when the weather's grey and rainy. They don't seem to realise that headlights in those circumstances are for others to see them, not for them to see the road.

I hate people who drive in the middle lane of the motorway, when there's no traffic on the inside lane. So much so that I go up behind them (not too close) sit there for a bit, then if they don't move over I overtake in the outside lane and drive across in front of them (safely!) to the inside lane. Think next time I might whack my hazards on as well, just for good measure .

Oh - and people who throw rubbish out of car windows.

And people who use rat runs and belt down them at 40mph.

Now look, I was quite happy with the world before I looked at this thread

People who don't know what the frig to do about indicating on roundabouts, eg:
Indicating right when they're driving straight over (eh) ?
and even worse, NOT indicating right when they are turning right and I'm coming down in the opposite direction. A surefire way to cause a head-on collision. You get a feeling sometimes...you can sense when the car coming along opposite is going to swing right in front of you. Its almost tempting to smash into the side of them, just so I can leap out and say what a C*NT they are.

I've been tempted to do that too, but you just know who'll get the blame... :censored: :censored:
