Anyone who has got anything on that list doesn't deserve that have ears. What a basinful of caterwauling noise felchers. I'd personally rather hear a cat scraping its claws down a blackboard. f***ing rubbish.

Although if forced, there may be a couple of bars on the White Album that don't make me want to projectile vomit.

Sussex, by the sea
just because you own them doesnt mean you rate them . . . .we've all bought duff albums . . . .anyone who says otherwise is a liar, or not into music, how else would you explore new genres.

I bought rumours at a car boot for £1 . . . .probably gets played once a year when we've had a few ales, not really my cup of tea but a fantastic album none the less

Lush, Im with you on Parliament and Funkadelic . . .

a luscious bitch she is true, but its not nice to fool mother nature, (ren hot mama)

OK, so you don't want us to say "where's ...." so I won't go on about the great bands you have missed out, but I am going to rant about the albums you have chosen to represent the bands you have chosen (and also say 'Jagged Little Pill'?! How on earth can you call that a classic?)

Metallica - not the Black Album, surely - a mundane affair at best. Surely the most influential of their albums was Puppets? And mostground-breaking was Lightning.

Floyd - the Wall? Surely not - wasn't Dark Side of the Moon much more influential (and it sold/sells more)? And, for that matter, ground-breaking.

Dunkster: You want suggestions, you got it...

Peters & Lee: Sing Marvin Hamlisch - great psychedelic concept album.
Pickettywitch: Groovy Party - contains the classic 'Mr Webble's Salsa Hurdy Gurdy Moment'. V rare.
Scotland World Cup Squad 82: We Might As Well Go Anyway
The Pipes & Drums of the Final Highland Tattoo Band - Live - recorded at the Hammersmith Palais in 1983.

Want more...?

BTW, quantity does certainly not mean quality.:shootself

I have explained why Jagged little pill is there already!
Metallica were always an underground band before they broke the main market with the Black album and lastly,NO the wall has sold millions more than DSOTM!

I bought Tusk by Fleetwood Mack......oh dear! It is/was dreadful

My father , God rest his soul brought me back from brasil a Samba Album, which was absolutely fantastic. I used to dance around my bedroom to it at all hours driving my mum to distraction ( i was only 15 ish) and I always said I would learn how to dance properly. I am still waiting to do this.

Yes they do. Sales of a record has nothing to do with it's musical greatness or Gareth Gates, Spice Girls, Spandeau Ballet and S Club 7 to name but 4 pet hates would still be asking "do you want fries with that?".

Reducing classic status to sales is admiting that music is product and not art.

Pardon me but are you likening Gareth Gates to Bruce Springsteen or The Beatles i seriously hope not!:shootself

It is a fact that the artists you have mentioned have barely reached a couple of million copies sold whereas The White album sold 17million.

I think you are getting mixed up with the world of singles where i grant you there are some irregularities such as Abba not having a top100 selling single but the Teletubbies having the 40th best!

If you argue in terms of sales then yes. Beatles, best selling Albums in the 60s, Springsteen, best selling album in the 80's. Spice Girls and Stutterer best selling albums in 1990s and 2000s. Maybe not the total sales but they are 20 years behind. Not the best selling of the decade of course, I don't have the figures, but A best seller.

If you take total sales as being a measure of quality then Big Mac is better than Foie Gras, Man U are better than Brighton, and the tennis girl scratching her arse is better than Da Vinci.

Quite!it's all about opinion as i have said many a time on this thread!Personally i prefer a big mac and the tennis girl but i'm sure my nan would prefer the Da vinci and the Foie Gras!
And i must say although Brighton til i die man u would cane us with a full strength team!
And if more people have the tennis girl than Da Vinci then that means the tennis girl is more popular thus proving my point!:drink:

But you also said it's about sales. I'm not quite sure why you jumped down Guinness Boy's throat - you're the one who said that 10-25m people don't make mistakes.

And no, I don't have any of the albums, nor do I want any of them.
