I've not read the book, but think I may have some idea. She seems to think a lot of Christian Grey!

Last book I read was 'a thousand splendid suns' which was brilliant but not easy reading.

Am hooked on the crime thriller genre - for years I needed my regular fix of James Ellroy (LA Confidential, The Black Dahlia etc) but sadly his output has dried up of late.

Moving on the Larsson trilogy was excellent and couldn't put them down. Just finished 'The Snowman' by Jo Nesbo and now want to read the rest of the Harry Hole series.

I quite enjoyed 'Mercy' by Jussi Adler-Olsson which was recommended reading at the local library - similar style to the above but maybe not so graphic (so far) and potential for a decent series.

Somone has kindly ordered the new Peter James for me - it is good to see some decent reviews of it in the literary media so am looking forward to that. Although I do get a bit annoyed as inspite of privileged insider info on the Police he does take some unlikely liberties with some of the operational stuff. If you get a chance do sample one of his 'talks', he is quite interesting although maybe getting a bit too popular these days, I quite liked it when he was a less well known cult writer.

I also like decent non-fiction writers such as Ben Macintyre (Double Cross, Agent ZigZag and Operation Mincemeat were all good) and Max Hastings who rarely disappoint.

Oh, she's read them.....think she has withdrawal symptoms now. Apparently there's a film to follow. Girls at work have read them as well....say they are embarrassed to admit it but they love them!!

Don't think the film will be anywhere near as good as the books - but I'll definitely be watching it - maybe not at the cinema in 3d though!!!!

Have you read any Jame Lee Burke? He's as good as it gets I reckon.

I have my OU classics exam tomorrow morning, so I am currently cramming Odyssey, Iliad, Herodotus Histories, Thucydides and all the confusing notes I have made since September that make no fecking sence at all!

I am getting all panicky.

Sorry but haven't got time at the moment to read the 40 odd pages but would appreciate some help with choosing 3 or 4 books for holiday.

Nothing too heavy, I enjoy legal thriller stuff (a la John Grisham) and have recently completed the 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo triology.

Books must be available on Kindle.

I don't think the film will be as good as the books to be honest!!! They rarely are really aren't they and I think your imagination can run riot with something like fifty shades of filth!!! The books have been soooo good that the film if they are not careful will just end up being like any other porn you can buy!
