A Gentleman in Moscow - book being read by a book club I belong to - load of old tut....well written but totally unreal scenario, factually incorrect in several ways and makes the Russian Revolution seem like a rather gentile tea party. The main protagonist should've, would've been shot in the first chapter in reality as opposed to being allowed to ponse around in a posh Moscow hotel drinking fine wines, being witty and interesting, getting laid and generally surviving very comfortably.

The life and work of Fritz Bauer, a German Jewish lawyer who made his countrymen and country face up to their Nazi crimes and the national complicity-in.

Astonishing man, the stamina, courage and determination he showed made this an honour to read really.
