Absolutely. Let's get back to the real issues. Has anyone discussed if Cashin is any good yet?
OK it seems my stance is not popular. Therefore I will think about good goals I have enjoyed.

I like that Murray one at Sellhurst.
Mitomas one where he did that thing. It could gave been against Liverpool.
Poco's free kick when we were in the Championship (if that counts).
There have been some terrific long range goals from outside the box. Ayaris one. Great!
I really enjoyed March's come back goal this season.
Baleba's winner against Wet Sham was fun.
So many great goals!

Gordon Smith’s goal in the cup final lives with me forever. I was right near the back and as I saw him make contact my brain was processing at a million miles an hour.

“Bailey’s got this”

No, it went past him, so in the millisecond it took to cross the line, it seemed like an age.

“It’s going in, it’s going in!”

and he DID score, let’s not forget that.

The greatest goal I’ve ever witnessed. Well worth a fiver!
It's all about opinions, but watching Jimmy Case's screamer in the semi at Highbury was even better, for me.
I could not remember seeing a ball kicked so hard and accurately, at the time.
(For the youngsters, it is the first goal in the clip, Brighton are in yellow :) )

Indeed, I was there also and It was a better goal but Smith’s goal I can still remember how I felt when the ball was crossed, when he made contact and when it rolled across the line. You don’t always retain that.

Mitoma's genius then Skalak's screamer. I went nuts at the time and I've watched both 100s of times since, and I never tire.

I don't think I'll ever see a better goal live than Mitoma's. I thanked the skies it went in as I knew that was it. It was my nearest religious moment.

Here's Skalak watching his goal

If only there was a recording of Garry Nelson's goal when he dribbled the ball through all four of the Brentford pubs before playing keepie ups through the car park and then once he got on the pitch beat every Brentford play 3 times before blasting the ball into the net from half a yard.

Well that's what I remember anyway
I tried for years to trace a video for that, even contacting Brentford FC. It was even shown on the local news round-ups apparently :(

However, perhaps the (disallowed) Mac Allister one -incidentally from almost the very same blade of Amex grass - is possibly an even BETTER hit!? It is hit even harder, and definitely better placed in the top corner. (1:50 here...)

I agree. That was a RIDICULOUS hit, you could just feel the confidence surging through him in that game as well - his finest for us, I believe. Absolutely ran the show and fully deserved a hat trick.

I want to mention one that's not famous and wasn't scored by one of our superstars but there was a cracker from Gerry Fell against Southend. He got the ball somewhere around the halfway line, powered past two players and hit a screamer from about 25m, goalie scarcely moved. He didn't score that many for us - and the ones he did score are little remembered - but that was a beauty.
