You destroyed QPR? I'm sure I watched that game, and I can remember you narrowly winning it 2-1 - was I watching the wrong channel or something?

:lolol: :p :lolol:

We took pity on them, that was all.

And we did you a big favour by purchasing QPR's best player a couple of days before you played them!

1st goal: Total fluke, true enough, but they all count.
2nd goal: Never a penalty, but I've seen 'em given against us often enough!
3rd goal: Their player played the ball last, perfectly good goal.
4th goal: Russian linesman.

About time we had a bit of luck. Besides, it was only Derby.

I assume that you were watching it on Sky Wales, where, no doubt, they showed the simplified edition for those with limited understanding of the beautiful game.

What's Alan Lee doing at Cardiff? Why, he's furthering his career of course! And earning a fat wad of cash into the bargain (Hammam has tripled the wages he was on at Rotherham).

Where art Gabbidon??

He was injured on Monday. Bad foot. Should be back on Saturday.

He was a having a few fruit juices with Earnie in my local after the game. The two of them attended a charity event there a few months ago, and now pop in quite regularly.

The guy is going to be a superstar. I've been watching the City since 1975, and Gabbidon is the most naturally-gifted player I've seen play for us by a distance. Man of the match in the Serbia v Wales game the other night by a long way.

The other kid at the back, James Collins (the ginger one if you saw the game) is also a bit special. Big defenders who have pace and can play football. They're both the business.

I've heard the hype LB, heard the good reports re: Gabby......................................but all I can remember him by is when Zamora left him in his wake when he was set free by a very errant back pass by Legg at Withdean!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's proving a great embarrassment for me personally, because I predicted at the end of his first season with us that he wouldn't make the grade in the Second Division.

Conehead Cork insisted on playing him at right back, and he looked very awkward in that position. Then, after I'd made my predictions of failure, he was moved into central defence, and he just got better, and better, and better.

Now, every time we get back to the pub after a game, I am reminded by numerous people that I said he wouldn't be good enough for Division Two.....

Notice how Cardiff have done well since getting rid of Reading rejects like Brayson, Legg, Bowen etc.

Make note Brighton, don't take on too many of our players like Henderson and Rougier

Ah well, at least he's progressing, can't think of any of our players who did well in Div1 when we thought they weren't even up to Div2 standard!

Oh, maybe Mayo, but this season so far he's been rubbish!!!!

Realistic expectation LB? Mid-table for your boys?

Mid-table will be just fine.

We have plenty of players who are capable of winning matches for us, such as Lee, Earnshaw, Langley, Kavanagh and Robinson, and our first-choice eleven will be more than a match for most teams in this section.

However, we have very little strength in depth. I watched our reserves get hammered 0-3 at home by Bristol City's youth team today, and we were lucky the scoreline wasn't even less flattering. A few injuries and we'll be struggling.

It should be an exciting season, because we're playing some excellent football for the first time in a couple of years. We don't look the type of side who will draw too many matches, so it should be entertaining, and mid-table will be more than acceptable as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately I can't wish your boys good luck and mean it because, as you know, us Seagulls aint too keen on Bluebirds, but I'll whisper it very quietly anyway....good luck!!!
