Right. Last night, did any one see or hear a train go by slowly, emmiting rather large and bright sparks?

INCASE any one doesn't know, its the brighton - portsmouth line.

Cos i heard this and i'm now not sure if i was dreaming. I didn't check the time though...

Trains ALWAYS do that.

This werent no normal train... it was going REALLY slowly, was UNUSUALLY deafening, and the sparks emmited weren't the small one you get when it rains, they were like, propperly massive, like, enough to light my room up.

Whats with the randomly capitalized words? ???

It was prolly a railgrinding train, but anyone along the west coastway line, did they see anything?

The one I saw only had a few sparks coming from IT. Not as many as the thread starter described.

So, I suppose it must have been a different one.

Like he said, probably the rail grinder. We set fire to a wooden crossing near Seaford, when I was piloting one.

This normaly happens when the 3rd rail (the Juice) has iced up or like last week has snow on it,it can also happen if the train itself has a traction fault and not enough power is getting through the shoes to operate all the systems of the train, there was no ice on the rails last night so i would assume a faulty pick up shoe, damaged 3rd rail or a fox being electrocuted veeeeeerrrrrrrry slowly .

No, i poped my head through my curtians to see, it was big and rather scarey, and looked like a bitch... not a normal train running out of power.
