It'll all go on Falmer, just like the Zamora money, i really didn't think 10% of that million quid on players was an unreasonable thing to ask...

Er, didn't Leon Knight cost about 10% of that? So he has met that reasonable question you ask.

Falmer must take priority. Someone asked about Division 3 in Falmer or Division 2 in Withdean, in not so many words. Division 3 in Falmer is the correct answer. Otherwise we would be in a worse shape than Huddersfield not too many years after.

We are not Huddersfield. As I understand it, they have suffered from financial mismanagement made worse by the Digital TV money. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.....

We are financially sound for the time being. But we cannot grow without the ground. We have no major asset behind us. We are paying rent. Rent goes up with market forces. Repaying capital costs from funding the stadium reduces over time - the "mortage" does not increase with inflation like rent does. It's Financial Management 101 (yes, I'm a Chartered Accountant).

So, yes. If we forget Falmer we can perhaps have more money over the next 2 to 3 years. But in 10 to 15 years, we'll be seriously worse off than we would have been had we got Falmer.

Don't sacrifice long term security for short term success.

No you are quite correct. They went from Div 1 to div 3 in 3 seasons and have only just managed to offload Andy Booth who was on 8K a week.

Can someone please explain something to me, we are top of the league and have done it with injuries to key players - Why do we need new players exactly?
Falmer is the major goal at the moment, when we have that and can finance new players then we will get whats needed. Personally I can't see any reason to sign anyone. Do you want Jake Robinson to get a first team chance or do you want to sign a potential donkey who sits on the bench. You can't have it both ways!

Spot on - I've been saying similar things for a while. People bang on about the youth not being given a chance, and then when they do people moan as either they're not good enough (tho not the case this season) or that we have to rely on our youth team. That's why you have a youth team - so they can play!!

it aintgonna happen LB coz the club aint got the financial clout and Silent has his head in the sand burried that reality is beyond the reach of his brain cells the alternative is to redevelop Withdean, share with another club is Easstbourne Boro make the conference next seaosn they'll maybe need a new ground and a share or to look at site like Waterhall or outside the borough but this is all long lomng long time away we need to concentrate of the team pump money in on playing side and the rest will follow when its ready, in meantime redevelop withdean for all.

why not? give me a good reason its so ****ing obvious like DEAN WILKINS right under silents nose yet he cant se ethe answer the council would have to be supportive at leats the club shiuld try it makes sense we dont need 25k seats we are a small club always will be until the growth on the PITCH happens and all time Silent pumps money down the drain to Falmer we are left with a bunch of players so average its never gonna happen BHA FC in the premiership is even bigger dream than Falmer!

And you don't think we would need to go through all these planning enquiries, resident protest, hearings, funding etc to buy and redevelop Withdean? Or are you suggesting we can get into the Premiership with 7000 capacity, less than the allowed entry requirements.

I've only been active on NSC since last week - addictive innit - and I am rapidly coming to the same conclusion.
