Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Leicester left-back Peter Gilbert for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old former Wales Under-21 international had been on loan from the Foxes, but has now signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Derby striker Marcus Tudgay, 22, has also made his loan move to Hillsborough permanent for an undisclosed fee, and has signed a contract until 2010.

Tudgay scored on his Owls debut in the 3-0 win over Crewe on Monday.

"It's a big club, and a fresh start for myself," Tudgay said.

"I want to come here, score goals and help Wednesday get up the table."
