I went to the open day at Wembley today and just wanted to say what a completely enormous and fabulous stadium it is.

When that is full it will piss all over the Millenium for atmosphere.

AND due to not many people going and hence no normal Wembley traffic problems, I still left in time to see the second half at Withdean and Super Baz doing his stuff. The contrast in stadiums was barely noticeable. :)

Way out west
Do they have a long jump pit and a hammer net at the new Wembley then?

I did a tour about 18 months ago, when the seats were only just starting to go in and the "pitch" was still covered in bulldozers and grottiness, but the place still felt immense and you could well tell just how special it was likely to feel.
More legroom around each seat than in the old Royal Box! And the slopes seemed to be designed so that you wouldn't have to keep leaping up and down whenever anyone, but anyone, ahead of you stood, as at the old place - not that there aren't times when you want to happily stand up anyway...

Oh, and a world record number of toilets. Go Britain!

Am off to the U-21s game there next Saturday, and can't wait.

Looks fab from what I have seen.

Been to the Cardiff stadium once - yes, for the play off final, and must have had the worst seat in the place. Bloody overhang from seats above, couldn't see when the ball was more than 10' off the ground.

Moved behind the goal where the pen went in. :lolol:
