rather depends on whether they come up with electable policies in 4.5 years time. policies to win a Labour leadership election are likely different...

True, but in all likelihood they're going to be up against Boris Johnson and given the fact that he somehow has this mysterious hold over people it might just be another calamity...

Love Toby Young's piece in The Telegraph today......could it work?

i read at the beginning of last week that there had been 97 (ninety seven) taking up the offer of paying £3 to be a registered supporter (the context was how poor it was doing and the unions had got about 1000 of their members to be registered for Labour). so with that in mind, it doesnt seem too far fetched, as they aren't getting the genuine supporters to counterbalance a vote rigging.
