Just seen his hatrick on ssn and thought he took it well and looks on form, Love him or hate him he's the best striker I remember coming through the junior ranks at the Albion.

Whenever he came on you always thought that something was going to happen.....pity was, it often didn't. Good luck to him if he is getting it together now

There were plenty of games when he genuinely looked like a top class player - in the Championship against Leeds and Burnley spring to mind, the brilliant hat-trick he scored at Huddersfield as well.

I thought then he was going to be one of the few home grown players to make an impact for us, but it wasn't to be.

I still think he's going to make a good career for himself, albeit in the lower divisions.

Well done Jake.

FYI, I like to see our young players go on and do well. Just like I liked seeing Coxy have a good game with Orient and Virgo for Yeovil. What's wrong with saying well done to an ex Brighton youth player after he scored a hat-trick?

Hammond can get lost but he's the exception not the rule.

Calling him Jakey makes him sound about six years old, he's, what, twenty-four?

Good luck to the bloke, but it's probably another one of his moments, where he notches a hat trick then can't hit a barn door for another ten months.

He's 23.Well old and over the hill???
Probably got another 10 years and a couple of hundred goals in him.
