I'm in the process of booking a weekend in York with the wife...............same weekend as the Leeds game, hope there's not a binfest for the tickets!

tell ya where is really lovely...... st ives, cornwall.... but im only looking to travel about an hour or so cos working the sat so will only be the one night.

You should go for somewhere like Rye - The George on the high street I can highly recommend, and if you can't get in there then a pub/hotel of the same name in Cranbrook is also amazing.
Cranbrook is less than twenty minutes drive to Rye and the marshes are quite a romantic/atmospheric place to be even at this time of year.
