Keep the faith? Were you the same people talking about mid-table a few weeks ago ? Or perhaps you were the people talking about the play-offs !! Un- f***ing-believable. I'll keep supporting the team until the day I die but please let's have a bit of realism on this board for a change?

A lot of people - fans, journalists and I think people at the club got carried away. After the good run at Xmas - that was it - we were up. The percieved short-term wisdom was that Cullip wasn't missed nor Currie.

But let's face it, it was always going to be difficult wasn't it even with everyone fit and playing well. But take away 4 senior players through retirement plus selling our two best players; add to that mix a couple of injuries and senseless suspensions and you have to conclude that the squad just isn't good enough at this level.

And how many penalties have we conceded now in our last few games? The penalty at Cov was a disgrace and so was the second at Stoke but the others? Bad luck is beginning to smack of incompetence. You just can't afford to dive in Mr Hart.

Watford and Crewe remain our best hope of getting out of this and we really need Cov to beat Forest tomorrow night. We still have a chance but it'll mean winning 3 out of the last 5. I can't see that happening. In fact, I can us losing every game now. Confidence is very low and losing has become that horrible Hinshelwood type habit. Typical. Only the Albion could get themsleves in a healthy position and then blow it. So it's all very well saying " keep the faith" but to do that is to sometimes bury your head in the sand.

It's true. We can't blame a whole season on bad luck.

Saying that, i think there may well be a couple of twists in this season yet.

Fine post Sneaky George. My opinion is that we can't keep losing - we will pick up some points soon. I also think the next four games are crucial - they are all games where we can pick up points.

My feeling is that Forest are going down, and that leaves one space between us, Crewe, Watford & Cardiff. Gills have an easy run in, while Cardiff have the hardest run-in out of all the teams.

We''ll be okay because Crewe are so shit..

Look at their run in..

Crewe Alexandra: Millwall v Crewe, Gillingham v Crewe , Crewe v Stoke, Ipswich v Crewe, Crewe v Coventry .

Watford fans are very pessimistic at the moment too. I think they should be okay looking at these games but they aren't.

Watford: Watford v Leeds, Rotherham v Watford, Watford v Sheffield United, Stoke v Watford, Watford v West Ham.

I think Forest are down.

We've still got to get points to get above Watford and Crewe, Turkey.

Where do you see us getting them?

Two games ago I made the following prediction.

Brighton & Hove Albion: Coventry v Brighton , Preston v Brighton, Brighton v Leicester , Burnley v Brighton, Brighton v West Ham, Rotherham v Brighton, Brighton v Ipswich.

0, 0, 3, 0, 1, 3, 1. = 8 points + 44 = 52.

So far I've got it right. Saturday is massive. It would be so easy for the team to choke. Its so hard to convincingly say we'll win at the moment. We've got character though and Leciester will think they're safe and could be for the taking.

Ok I will buy it. The players have got to want it badly enought though.

One win and we go to 17th

Exactly right, only 3 points seperates us from a team five places above us which means that this relegation battle is far from over. Mark McGhee is probably right, we only need two wins to stay up, let's hope we can get them.

Feel much better this morning, looking at all the fixtures. I have missed so many games this season due to moving but will be there saturday.

WE WILL STAY UP

LETS GETS POSITIVE.

WE NEED 6 POINTS - MAYBE 7 AS WE HAVE A SHIT GOAL DIFFERENCE AND WE WILL BE FINE.

PALARCE NEXT SEASON. THIS TIME I WILL SLEEP AT BLOODY SCUMHURST PARK TO GET IN THERE!!!

COME ON LADS

Looking at Crewe's run-in has cheered me up a fraction. I can't see them getting more than 4 points from that lot, which means we need, what - 7?

In which case: Leicester 3, Rotherham 1, Ipswich 3? (glorious last-day escape!). It's going to be very nervy ...

From what i saw last night the only positive i could see were the performances of Butters, Harding, and Blayney.

A win against Leicester and everything can change.

Crewe haven't won in 16 i believe, Watford have won 1 in 12 as well i think.

IMHO the reason for our poor run is down to MM, much as I believe that he is probably the best manager that we have had in recent times, and his insistence on playing Virgo up front HE IS A DEFENDER and should play there if he does we will stop conceeding goals and stay up if not I am afraid it is curtains. He is not a Paul Warhurst, Dion Dublin or Chris Sutton he is a brilliant tough defender and should play as such.
