Has anyone seen the article in the argus about how we are going to treat away fans . ?? I know some may feel im being a bit silly but in my opinion It's a joke they are planning on changing lighting to suit away teams, for example make red lighting in away end for man united , liverpool etc they will change all fittings to suit the away team and the biggest joke of all is they are putting up posters of legends that have played at the club that we play at the Amex . So we ask when palace come down to play do we put up palace posters and make it blue and red...... Obviously not!! but then if we don't but do for every other away team that come here we look like we are discriminating them for supporting the scum . We need to have this changed. It's a stupid idea we want teams to fear coming to the Amex not welcome them with open arms and put special pictures up for them each time . Why would we want to make away teams feel welcome and as if they are at home at our new stadium . This needs to be changed and us fans need to voice our views on it because it's a waste off money and time . I have a few mates who don't support the Albion and when they saw this they laughed and that will be the reaction of every single away fan who comes here !!:bhasign::amex:

Silly old bat
Where does it say we will change the fittings in the away team changing room? It's for the fans not the team.

Boyle, who's view do you really think they are going to take?

The views of the bloke who stumped up £100,000,000.

Or the views of an utter cockish bigoted pillock like you?

get with it man, our Tone wants this to be different and memorable - so just go with it. You never know, we might actually enhamce our reputation as a club even further, and it doesn't cost you a penny.

(Assuming you are not fishing, as this is your first post).

There argument is away fans have put up with so much over the last few years at Brighton so they want to make it up to them but what I don't think Martin Perry has realised is that we are the ones that have sat there in the rain around a running track paying these high prices every week for the last 13 odd years not the away fans and if they have they come ONCE a year . And anyway Only a handful of away fans bother coming to withdean and now we have this amazing stadium away fans will want to come and watch their team regardless of if they have stupid pointless pictures and different coloured lights in their end !! This HAS to be changed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Championship.
The whole point of it is to attract away fans to come down to Falmer so it isn't exactly a bad idea and your mates who are laughing at it are complete tools and have probably never been to a game in their life.

ffs get over yourself! It's a great idea, it's inovative, it's forward thinking and it sets a great precedent. :amex:

I don't mind it. Most fans of other clubs (from all leagues) I've spoken to, think it's a nice touch. I mean, it will be the same in the home end (we've got pictures everywhere) so I don't get the issue. Would be nice to leave it blank for the Palace though.

I couldn't care who's view I think they will take muggins but don't have your mouth behind an anonymous name calling me a cockish bigoted pillock when I am Brighton fan expressing my views !! Always been the problem with Brighton fans so disloyal always turn on their own fans !! What a joke

If the away stand is full every week, will you still be complaining? Not arguing, just curious...

hmmmmm my thoughts are along the same lines - but a different twist

although it would be great having a ground everyone enjoys going to - I would've felt the need is such that it needs to be a tough , unforgiving place to come to for away teams - treating their fans nicely isn't going to help that , need something to strike fear throughout them.

Orange County. California.
Encouraging away supporters to come and spend money on tickets, beers, food etc. What is wrong with that. How many away fans disregarded coming to watch us over the last 13 years due to it being a crap experience.

Shirley we want money, money from whoever, why turn down 2,000 visitors @ 18 pounds ticket that would be 36 grand.

I may have misunderstood things, but I was under the impression we are trying to make the away fans comfortable, not the away team.

I think it's a neat idea - it's innovative and will, I think, be copied by other clubs.
Football is more inclusive these days and more welcoming to away fans and why not - as long as we beat them !!
Trouble is, where are we going to find pics of CPFC "legends" ?
