At least he had the balls/enthusiasm/intelligence to speak up. Don't diss him-it's the others you need to worry about.

I want to give a special mention to Sonic.

H block on the right of the aisle and J block stood throughout the game but as soon as the chant started 'Stand up if you want Falmer', Sonic was first on his feet on the other side of H block.
The rest of them followed soon after (which doesn't normally happen)

Absolutely, why not North Standers? Couldn't you hear the South Stand?

Also Dick Knight didn't stand up! KNIGHT OUT! :jester:

You couldn't see it on the tele so don't worry and Prescott was in the House of Commons bar drinking his way through a nice bordeux and ordering a steak sandwich with fries.

I don't understand this - we were in the front of G-block (as usual), and several times during the game 'STAND UP IF YOU WANT FALMER' was started in the so-called singing section, we rose and joined in, and it went all down the South Stand - and on several occasions spread into much of the North Stand too.

I thought it was pretty impressive - why the whinging ?

If people genuinely though that by standing up it will influence Prescotts mind I reckon everyone would do it. However Prescott probably didn't even realise/care Brighton were on the tele.

Yeah i saw a group of fans stand up whilst the rest of the stand sat like they were watching a girly film at the cinema... Credit to you and the ones that tried.

Not making excuses but timing is all for the "We Want Falmer" chant.

It only starts off when there's not much happening on the pitch, and by the time the chant has reached the North Stand the match has usually picked up again and everyone's looking at the game.

There were only a couple of times yesterday when we had a gap for injuries - and they weren't particularly lengthy. I thought we got a lot of chanting in, considering.

Then again he may have had the case on his desk and then been told/heard we're on the tele and thought, 'Oh, I might have a look at that.'.

Who knows. It doesn't really matter.

I got annoyed because I'd regularly stand up in D Block to sing and very few would stand up with me. I was far from the only person standing but I didn't want to wind up those behind me either.

I feel your point has been lost in this thread kinky gerbil. In the words of Pastor Niemoller in the time of Nazi Germany I believe:

And then they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
And then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
..
And then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up for me.

This same Albion 'fan' probably didn't write his Falmer letters all that time ago and didn't write to Prescott because "enough other people will do it so why should I bother"
