Look everyone can suck up to the guy and I am sorry for having the audacity of having a differing point of view but the guy has been dissapointing for 95% of the time, he may get better with age but to make out he is some sort of Henry is ridiculous.

I hope CK-R proves me wrong and scores 15 this season

Alleged displays of petulance aside, I doubt that many of the detractors on here possessed as 19 year olds half the maturity CKR does. As stated above, he comes across in interviews as a very balanced individual with a good head on his shoulders. More power to him.

3 goals from 20 games is not good enough Chappers, are you seriously saying it is ???

We need someone who can bang in 15-20 , CK-R can never do this , well not at the moment at least and infertile strikers will costs us our championship status, sorry if that concerns me

Not as if he's played 90 minutes in twenty games though is it.

From what I've seen he's look lively, has scored 3 important goals to get us some points and generally looked like a good young striker.

You seem to have a problem with the kid himself when your real problem is that he's not gonna score 15 goals this season.

Give him time.

So you invent some crap about his attitude, post it on a website that we've just found out his family reads because he's good enough to share that with some fans in person, in order to cover up for the fact that - amazingly - a 19 year old is still learning his trade and isn't quite Kenny Dalglish or Bobby Zamora just yet?

Christ, "fans" like you don't deserve him.

This is a forum for discussing footballers and football, it is not a 3 line whip , sorry to disagree, I reckon CK-R is a great bloke from what you have said but he has not cut it on the pitch for me ( yet )

Given that he's 19 and this is his first full season and first season at this level, people have been incredibly harsh on him.

You said he was petulant and has attitude problems, that is very different from him not cutting it on the pitch.

You have also siad that he's not a 15-20 goal a season player.

Would you expect him to be ain his first full season at this level? f*** sake Glover don't be so f***ing DUMB.

The fact is that back in the summer we had a distinct choice...we could go for young player with potential that might become a top drawer player or we could go for an experienced player on a free and hope to get a couple of good season out of him.

The one thing we couldn't do is go for a 26-28yr old with a proven scoring record. We just don't have the money.

The fact is if CKR proves to be any good we will sell him. If we get a Neil Shipperly type player, he will eventually leave on a free.

By all means complain if you can name a better prospect we could've afforded, but the fact is we bought a player for what he could be not what he is. The boy is only 19, he has just jumped up two divisions, and has made less than 50 appearences in his career.

If we had signed Shipperly and he had been injured the same critics would've been on here, slagging McGhee off, for buying an old player with a bad injury record.

His flashes of brilliance, his performance at Derby opening day, and some nice touches make me think he has something. Next season will be the time to judge him not this......

Oh and at this stage, sorry he looks a better prospect than Jake for me...

I cannot believe people here are slagging off a 19 year old in his first full season at a big club...:lolol:

give the kid a chance FFS!! When he is playing regularly for 90 mins and he has a crap game, but to do it now is a bit of a laugh imo.

I agree he has not had the best of starts, but he HAS got us some vital goals and I think he has the talent there that just need nuturing!
